Equitable access to health insurance not only promotes better health outcomes but also supports economic stability, social equity, and community well-being. ULV addresses health inequities in our Latinx community in two key ways:
- Representing our community’s voice in critical advocacy to increase healthcare options in Contra Costa County through MediCal, the County’s Basic Health Care Program or community programs for low-income and immigrant residents through providers like Kaiser
- Outreach and education to ensure immigrants know what services are available and get the help they need to enroll in available plans
